Who is Vale Training?

Vale Training began to operate more than 80 years ago and has been at the forefront of automotive and residential educational innovation. They have trained and certified more than 50,000 industry specialized individuals.

Vale opened in the early 1940’s in Blairsville, Pennsylvania and at that time was called the Vale Technical Institute and began by providing training classes for the automobile repair trades. The Institute was originally nicknamed “Vale Tech”, and the Institute quickly became known as the “Ivy League of Technical Schools”. 

During WWII, Vale became the first institution to train women to repair automobiles. They created and developed the first auto claims estimating training class that was named Automotive Estimatics, which is trademarked and remains to this day.

During the 1960’s Vale tech was bought by television giant CBS Television Co. who  brought Vale’s amazing training into their portfolio of other trade schools. Also in the 60’s Vale began offering the first residential building damage estimating courses for the insurance industry. Followed by the development of Vale Labs Research, a department to advance estimating techniques.

Today, Vale provides on-line services alongside classroom training, that provides services to many more students and clients across North America and around the world. Vale is certified by the Automotive I-Car Organization as a Platinum Facility.
