PDR overview

Vale Training established its paintless dent repair (PDR) technician certification program in 2003. The program introduced 3D scanning technology never before used in the industry. The protocol Vale established measures dent removal in terms of microns (1/1000th of a millimeter). Since the PDR Program inception, Vale has certified PDR technicians from around the world including Canada, Europe, Japan, Korea and other parts of Asia.

For 2020, we are proud to announce a new Hail Damage certification to help technicians understand the cause, related damage and recommended approaches to repairing hail damage. Additionally, Vale is developing a certification for remove and install (R&I) technicians, a critical element of the PDR process and important to ensure that all repairs are performed safely, correctly and completely.
