Being the owner of a small business has always been a goal of mine. Dan O Dents has stemmed from many years of experience in the automotive industry.
Since I was a kid on my dad’s farm, working on machinery has been my passion. The self taught knowledge I acquired there led to taking automotive vocational classes in high school and working at independent shops in Celina, Ohio. From there, the automotive field took me to Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, Wyoming, where I studied automotive technology and business. Following graduation from WyoTech, I attended BMW STEP Program in Houston, Texas. There I gained factory training leading to employment as a BMW technician in Charlotte, North Carolina. After several years in Charlotte, it was time to be closer to family.I then accepted a job in Dayton, Ohio still working as a BMW technician.
Although I enjoyed working on cars, I constantly caught myself watching PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) technicians performing repairs. I then realized my capability for starting a business was in the art of PDR. It seemed like a natural fit due to the many years spent in the automotive industry. So, I then made the decision to go to San Diego, California for one on one PDR training with Myke Toledo of Dent Time, LLC. There I learned the skills necessary to develop a successful PDR company. Dan O Dents was then created, thus fulfilling the goal.
